We take a Holistic approach in raising our dogs. We are proud of building agreener dog. Hybrids are getting more popular and are here to stay in the future of dogbreeding because of its increased health benefits from fresh DNA. Wherepurebreds, some are registered CKC are continuing to be more and more inbred-sister, brother, father, mother- causing severe health repercussions andcompromised immune systems. Hybrids offer renewed strength to dogs immunesystemand are healthier.

OUR APPROACH TO BREEDING
Our approach is to breed smaller framed animals - medium size - to reducestress on hips and joints. We breed a hybrid to increase the likely-hood of ahealthier dog with a better immune system than purebred breeds. With years ofinline breeding, purebred breeds suffer from reduced immune systems and chronicbreed specific health issues.  With the introduction of stock from newlines from Europe and other areas in the world, we strengthen the immune systemwith diversity, and we DO NOT breed ANY related animals. We work with you toeducate and help understand how to train. A puppy is a cleanslate. So no pastissues.

TRAINING your DOG  – learning how 
We believe it is best for an owner to learn how to train their puppy themselvesShaggy look connection and control is lasting. Best to learn fromvideos/books/trainer/classes.

 so the discovered that when wetrain a dog for a client- the dog  does not always stay with the owner -if you aren’t wanting to spend the effort to learn how to learn train your dog-you won’t know how to manage your dog going forward.  Dog ownership is ahands-on venture. Pre-training only works if you already knowhow to train adog. We suggest learning how from a trainer one-on-one in yourhome or videos onYOU TUBE – look up McCann dog training.  Simple and effective.

BRED FOR A PURPOSE
Poodles & retrievers are companion breeds who are trained to retrieve theduck from the swamp Dog ownership.

Cocker spaniels are companion dogsalso.
• They are are companion minded dogs ready to please • They aren't preydriven.Their purpose is to sit by your side and wait for instructions. Most foryou realize standard poodles were bred for the SAME PURPOSE asretrievers.Cocker spaniels are faith companions also.
• That makes a great combination for a great predictable personality in thedogs we breed.  

HOW BIG IS MEDIUM / MOYEN How big are OUR DOODLE Dogs?



The Size of our goldendoodle pups full grown approximately 30-45 RANGE,(Heights and weights vary as this is a hybrid. So we can't guarantee size orheight.) The Back of the dog comes up to your knee.

We have lots of clients over the years who come to us for a calm mediumdog- after having made the decision to buy a miniature GOLDEN doodle calmmedium to re-home it or regret the decision because of the unpredictablesizeAND they figured out that when mixing a big dog and a little dog the dogwash as issues deciding if it was a BIG dog or a SMALL dog personality creatinga hard to trust and train.
We’ve heard some people say that their MINIATURE GOLDENDOODLE was HUGE and hadasplit personality; like a dual personality because of the oppositepersonalities of the parents when a miniature poodle is used.

OUR COCKAPOO PROGRAM:
We are excited to be offering cockapoos! We breed 25-30 lb moyen poodles withAmerican cocker spaniels. They are family friendly, affectionate and wereNorthAmericas favourite breed for many years. They are well known for being greatcompanions. They were originally raised as bird dogs and can be easily trained.Theyare a nice smaller, medium size and shoulder height is 14 to17".  ABOUT OUR BREEDING DOGS

HEALTH TESTING
Our dogs come lines of dogs health tested for generations and have being greattheir DNA by integrating European lines into to their breedingprogram.   We test only dogs that we feel need testing. Testing forCKC or purebred animals is common to repair the damage done by breeders who useinline breeding. (inbreeding) which ruinsimmune systems and increases risks ofinherited health defects.



A LAKEWOOD DOGS’ LIFE


Our dogs retire latest between the age of 5 or 6. We work with guardianfamilies to get our dogs accustomed to home life. We develop the relationshipwith the guardian family early hoping that this will become their permanenthome. We like knowing exactly where are retired dogs are and know the home isworking out well for them. We are available to take back the dog if needed isworking time after retirement if the guardian family has a change insituation.This ensures our dogs don’t ever find themselves homeless.



BREEDING DIVERSIFICATION


AVOIDING Duplicated DNA by diversification in choosing unrelated animals keepsthe COI (inbred factor) low which drastically reduces genetic health issues.low which lines come from breeders who have health tested their dogs Ourbreeding and have carefully diversified their DNA by integrating Europeanlinesinto to their breeding program. It is more important for purebreds to betestedbecause of the generations of inbreeding done by CKC breeders so forgenerations win In the show ring. Duplicated DNA for generations is why thedefects became a problem. This is why hybrids are preferred now for betterhealth.


We post parents of each litter on our site when a litteris offered.

We plan our breedings based on many factors such as size,colour genetics etc.

SELECTIVE PARENTS
Not every dog that we bring to the program actually ends up producing a litter.We assess every dog and as they are being raised for personality, temperament,intelligence, calmness and ability to be a good companion. We select only thebest for our program.



HOLISTIC APPROACH


A combination of holistic dog food choice, avoiding using harsh chemicals inour kennel, no over medicating our puppies, daily probiotic and multivitamin-using diatomaceous earth for flea and parasite control instead of toxic fleadrops or medications. Also We DO NOT do any altering or invasive proceduressuch as microchipping – which is a health risk due to high rate of tumor andparalysis. We suggest a name tag instead.

SOCIAL


Our dogs and puppies are socialized by our family and staff. We have a teamhigh school students who come daily to work with our dogs. Training, leashwalking and social go hand inhand.

We are careful to balance thecorrect amount of social with teaching self entertainment with our dogs andpups.


 RESERVING A PUPPY: reservation deposits based on client wishes ourdogs, colour, size and ready date. Puppies are selected from newly born littersby video in the first week of life. We try to do some videos on occasion.

A $500 non refundable DEPOSIT is required to RESERVE your puppy from Upcominglitters.

When getting ready for your puppy be sure to consider all aspects of what youwill need. We offer everything you will need for your puppy - toys; crates;seat belts leash; harness, probiotic chews, vitamin chews, and all of theproducts you will need for a puppy and later your fully grown dog. We can shipor you can pick up - order on our boutique site for the life of your dog.

For a puppy: You will need soft toys - for only when you are with your pup.Theycan be ripped up so they are a choking risk. You will need a sweater or coat;food bowls; toy bin; dental care; tick puller; grooming tools. A dog or coatneeded for training. A play pen should be used to keep the puppy from roamingthe house. Training treats can be bakery items or meat treats. Use a differenttreat for toilet rewards than treats for training "sit"or"stay" commands.
